Join us in celebrating nurses and midwives.
To coincide with Mental Health Nurse’s Day (today 21st Feb), the School of Health & Life Sciences, as part of its year-long recognition and celebration of International Year of The Nurse and the Midwife, has launched a digital pledge wall.
Nurses and midwives play a vital role in providing health services and can often be the first and only point of care in some communities. The world needs 9 million more nurses and midwives if it is to achieve universal health coverage by 2030 and this is why the World Health Assembly has designated 2020 the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife (WHO 2020) See #YearoftheNurseandMidwife
Join UWS in celebrating nurses and midwives by posting a pledge to our UWS Pledge Wall and encouraging others to do so. Feel free to leave your name and Country. Pledges will appear on UWS’ digital walls on our campuses and update weekly. Pledges will remain visible to others until the end of March 2020.
