As part of the Fair Dementia Care Campaign Alzheimer Scotland teamed up with former broadcaster and author Mike Edwards to create a documentary which features personal accounts from carers of people living with dementia. The campaigning video features contributions from to members of our School staff. Professor Debbie Tolson, Director of the Alzheimer Scotland Centre for Policy and Practice and the deputy director Dr. Margaret Brown.
The video also features former First Minister of Scotland, Henry McLeish, chair of the Fair Dementia Care Commission and Jim Pearson, Director of Policy and Research at Alzheimer Scotland.
The #fairdementiacare campaign seeks to end the inequalities faced by people with advanced dementia, their families and carers, in terms of access to appropriate health care and the disproportionate impact that social care charges have upon them.
