A very successful workshop event was held by our School on the 28th May 2019 at our Lanarkshire Campus which looked at
‘Dementia & Multi-Species Caring: Current Practice & Future Possibilities’
Fifty-eight people attended the workshop from a wide variety of backgrounds – including, academic research, health & social care practice, funding, policy-making, animal welfare and lived expertise.
The focus of the day was on the the use of animal assisted therapies in dementia care.
