We are absolutely delighted to announce a significant jump for UWS in The Guardian University Guide rankings for 2020.
We have climbed to 106th from 114th in the UK out of 121 universities, with the rankings judged on a variety of measures including student satisfaction and career prospects.
This is great news and deserved recognition for the strides the University has made in acting upon the feedback we receive from our students, and the priority we place on improving student retention and continuation and their graduate career prospects.
The Guardian University Guide is one of the most authoritative rankings for UK universities, and is highly influential for those deciding their next steps in higher education.
Notably, our rankings by subject also increased – improving in 13 out of 24 subjects. Education is UWS’ highest-ranked subject, coming in 1st place overall in the UK, with civil engineering ranking 3rd place in the UK.
Craig Mahoney, the Principle and Vice Chancellor said
It is with great pleasure I take this opportunity to thank each and every colleague for their contribution in making the University the very best it can be, and for their part in the recognition we have received in these highly regarded UK-wide university rankings.
