‘Song for Midwives’ and Podcast updates.

We are delighted to share this wee sneaky peek at the ‘Song for Midwives’.  Created by Emma Martin, this will be released on the 1st May, just in time to celebrate International Day of the Midwife 2019.  All monies raised will be used to support student midwives via the UWS Midwifery Scholarship Fund.  Students can apply for funds to support them to buy books or equipment, to attend study days or to go on local, national or international elective placements. Please support us if you can. You can donate via this link www.uws.ac.uk/alumni/donate-online/ and select UWS Midwifery Scholarship Fund from the drop down menu.

Also, our latest instalment of our popular Diary of an Apprentice BabyCatcher podcast was slightly delayed, but is now up and ready to listen. It features Tom, one of our Midwifery Lecturers, who discussed his experiences as a male in midwifery, as well as some of our first years students discussing their thoughts on starting their practice placements.  If you have topics you would like the students to discuss in future podcasts please feel free to get in touch, or leave a comment.  As always, thanks for listening.

Best wishes,

Sheona Brown.
