Google Garage at Ayr

On 12th and 26th of February, experts from Google will deliver exciting, hands-on training programmes at UWS’ Ayr campus which are available for staff and students to hone their digital skills.

In a fast-paced world where technology and connectivity are ever-increasing, we’re offering you the opportunity to learn new and important digital skills from the best at a range of interactive workshops taking place over the two days.

A number of spaces are already reserved for MA and BA students in UWS’ Music, Commercial Music and Journalism courses, however, there are a few places still available for interested staff and students to come along.

Attendees of the interactive sessions will learn how to craft engaging digital marketing strategies, build their personal brand online, write for social media and how to use the internet to boost your career. Detailed information on the workshops are outlined below:

The Google Digital Garage is one of the technology company’s flagship investment programmes in the UK, promoting the enhancement of digital skills through a range of courses and one-to-one sessions. Since launching the programme in 2015, over 300,000 people have benefitted from the training on digital know-how across 250 locations in the UK.
