Midwifery lecturers Lyz Howie and Evelyn Mohammed from the Midwifery team were invited to speak to the 5th and 6th form pupils of Trinity High School in Cambuslang this week on Tuesday the 4th December 2018.
Forty pupils attended the session which was filled with plenty of participation in the form of workstations that included dolls pelvis, a neonatal resuscitation mannequin and antenatal/postnatal parenthood education bags. This is in keeping with our learning philosophy that active student engagement enhances their learning.
Feedback from the pupils was very positive and in fact, reaffirmed for some students that they 100% wanted to become a midwife and study at here at UWS. The event was also posted on the Trinity High School Twitter page.
