The UWS midwifery team are celebrating a hat-trick of nominations for the upcoming Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Awards 2019, due to be held on Tuesday 5th. March 2019 at London’s top venue, The Brewery. Details of the nominations are:
JOHNSON’S® Excellence in Midwifery Education Award.
The Neonatal Transition Care Education Group from NHS GG&C, led by Practice Development Midwife JoAnna Greenock, are shortlisted within this category. Midwife lecturer Tom McEwan is a member of this team and was the co-applicant for this award and will be supporting JoAnna at the forthcoming awards judging panel. We are also delighted that JoAnna has also been nominated for the Supervisor/Professional Midwifery Advocate Award and wish her the very best of luck!
Pregnacare® Award for Student Midwife of the Year
Our very own 3rd Year student Lauren O’Neill has been shortlisted in this category. A greatly deserved nomination and just another example of the outstanding calibre of our midwifery students at UWS. Good luck Lauren!
Team of the Year
The UWS Midwifery team has been nominated in this category. As the only non-clinical team in the running, they are both surprised and delighted at being shortlisted and are looking forward to the event.
