Some of our student nurses and midwives last week attended the Third Healthcare Improvement Science Summer School held at UA – Universitat d’Alacant / Universidad de Alicante in Spain. They joined students from across Europe to learn about improving healthcare.
During the International Summer Programme, the students had an opportunity to visit a local hospital and a Primary Care Attention Health Centre to discuss the Spanish Health System’s characteristics & their professional competencies! Many thanks, Centro de Salud Plaza Santa Faz in downtown and Juan Molina Ribera for being so welcoming to all the delegates.
The Summer School was a great mix of learning and enjoying the beautiful city. Thanks to Senior Lecturer Barbara O’Donnell from UWS and Manuel Lillo Crespo from the University of Alicante for sharing these pics.
Barbara said afterwards,
“I couldn’t be anymore proud of this amazing bunch of students… they have been true professionals this week and a credit to UWS. Makes my job so worthwhile”
