Two of our lecturers, Elaine Gifford and Brian Johnston, both from our Paisley Campus attended the Catholic University of Applied Sciences, Freiburg International week, in the beautiful Black Forest area of Germany, on an Erasmus mobility visit.
The Catholic University of Applied Sciences is the biggest university of Applied Sciences and Healthcare within the state of Baden-Wuttembberg in the South West of Germany and offers several BSc programmes including nursing and social work as well as a variety of MSc programmes.
Elaine and Brian gave a one-hour presentation on ‘Education for an Integrated Care Workforce’ as well as networking with staff from the Catholic University of Applied Sciences and visitors from part of a network of 15 European universities and partnerships in North and South America.
They received a wonderful welcome and spent an interesting and busy few days at the university. Elaine and Brian hope to work with nurse lecturer Dr Ursula Immenschuh to develop links for future Erasmus student exchanges
