Student Midwives and Their Lecturers Deliver Sessions on Obstetric Emergencies and Neonatal Resuscitation at MaMa Conference

MamaCaptureOur School’s 3rd-year student midwives were commended for their obstetric emergency/neonatal resuscitation skill demonstrations at the MAMA Conference in Glasgow on the 4th and 5th May 2018.

Six students: Alana Banks; Elizabeth Barilli; Kylie Mitchell; Salwa Rahim-Davies; Evann Smith; Kirsty Wallace gave demonstrations of Shoulder dystocia; Breech Delivery and Neonatal Resuscitation to the delegates. The students were supported by their lecturers Lyz Howie and Susanne Morrison.

Many delegates enjoyed their continuous professional development update including Professor Anne Holmes (Chief Midwife for Scotland); Dr Mary Ross-Davie (President of the Scottish RCM)and her very special Mum and Dr Gillian Smith (Previous President of Scottish RCM). A great two days at the conference were had by all!
