The University of the West of Scotland held its annual Midwifery Society student conference on the 30th. of August called
#UWSWomensVoices The conference was opened by Dr Mary Ross-Davie a Midwife for 22 years in London and Scotland who this year was appointed the Royal College of Midwives, Director for Scotland.
At the conference Mary spoke about the need for new midwives to work on developing their resilience to get them through difficult experiences & the need to stay optimistic as they strive to deliver The Best Start: A Five-Year Forward Plan for Maternity and Neonatal Care in Scotland to all of Scotland’s children.
Th organisers would also like to thank the Royal College of Midwives (Glasgow Branch) for attending the event and their kind donation of £200 to support the work of @UWSMidSoc
