Saying Farwell to two of our Erasmus students

Tony Wales

Kaltra Dana (front right) and Chiara Paci are two Erasmus students who came over to Scotland during cold February from Milan (University of Milano Bicocca), enjoying a farewell lunch with Tony Wales (Hamilton Erasmus Link Lecturer).

They had placements at Wishaw General Hospital, Larkhall Health Institute and Hairmyres General Hospital where they worked days, nights and weekends and gained glowing reports from the mentors and the PEF’s in the clinical placements.

Kaltra and Chiara based themselves in the University accommodation on Almada Street but travelled to Glasgow and Edinburgh and fell in love with the Isle of Skye. Before they return home next week they are travelling to London for a Mentors conference.

Kaltra and Chiara say they miss their cars but have enjoyed walking round Strathclyde Park and it has been arranged from them to borrow some bicycles for the last few days that they are here. In their own words, they have said that they need to lose a few kilos after the haggis, shortbread and all the food that they ate on night duty!

We wish them a good trip home and happy memories of their exchange visit to UWS.
