Nursing student Shevonne Cullen is representing UWS at this week’s Howest International Health conference in Bruges, Belgium. (Thanks for the pictures and hope you are having a great time.)
Howest, a University College of Applied Sciences in West Flanders, hosts an international project called health@world. Within the project first-year nurse students of Howest learn about the importance of social and cultural influences on nursing, health and health care and open their minds to the diversity of a global society.
The project is organized as part of the Univerity’s international week. With an evidence- and experience-based approach, participants learn with and from each other about cultural sensitive care and health promotion worldwide.
