Virtual International Day of the Midwife

As we hope you know from previous posts on this Newsletter we are supporting the International day of the Midwife 2017 on the 5th. of May with a series of events across Campuses. See Could You Knit a Midwife and Handmade Mini-midwives Wanted

On the 5th. of May, Linda Wylie, a former midwifery lecturer at UWS and author of  The Midwives’ Guide to Key Medical Conditions: Pregnancy and Childbirth (Second Edition)” and Essential Anatomy & Physiology in Maternity Care (Second Edition)

will be running the Virtual International Day of the Midwife from Paisley Campus. More information about VIDM is available here:-

Linda will be holding world café sessions for the student midwives attending the International Day of the Midwife Celebratory Conference – during this time she will introduce them to the VIDM and all its associated resources. Students will get the opportunity to sign in and witness the VIDM activities live. T hey will also be able to access all learning materials following the day’s events. This is a fantastic free
