Susanne Lewis has recently joined our School as a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at Paisley Campus and will be working with the year one team in the Undergraduate BSc in Nursing course. Having worked in Healthcare for many years, Susanne has experience in a variety of caring environments. She has always had a keen interest in Learning and Development and was responsible for managing an SVQ Assessment Centre working alongside Scottish Enterprise whilst also coordinating SVQ training for a large private healthcare company across their Scottish and Irish Care Homes.
Since becoming a registered nurse, Susanne’s other experiences include working within an island community hospital for patients with various needs. More recently she has been working within Head and Neck surgical services at Ayrshire & Arran Health Board, as an ENT Nurse Practitioner. Currently Susanne is studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. She has a keen interest in Head & Neck Cancer, in particular airway management/challenges, and hopes to carry out research in this area in the future.
